Offer Description
Laboratory of Gnotobiology, Doly 183, 54922 Novy Hradek, Czech Republic
We are looking for an independent and motivated scientist with a strong research track record and the ability to secure grant funding, lead research projects, and successfully deliver high-quality scientific outcomes. The successful candidate should be an active and collaborative researcher who is motivated to develop their own research direction while becoming an integral part of our team.
The candidate’s scientific interests should be closely aligned with the research strengths of the Laboratory of Gnotobiology, particularly in gnotobiology, microbiome research, immunology, host–microbiome interactions, or physiology. We are open to complementary research directions that can benefit from the unique experimental opportunities available within our laboratory.
The selected candidate will receive active support from the Head of the Laboratory of Gnotobiology in establishing and developing their own research team. This includes support in developing research projects, identifying funding opportunities, and making effective use of the laboratory’s experimental infrastructure and expertise.
Once successfully funded, the candidate will have the opportunity to establish a stable and independent research program within a top-tier gnotobiology laboratory, while benefiting from a collaborative research environment. The position offers access to advanced germ-free and gnotobiotic mouse and/or pig models, as well as the technical expertise and infrastructure required to investigate complex interactions between the microbiota, host physiology, immunity, and disease.
We are particularly interested in candidates who wish to develop a long-term independent research program and can contribute new expertise, ideas, and scientific approaches to the Laboratory of Gnotobiology.
