Description
Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Serve as secretary to the SSPAC dean and department chairs;
- Meet and interact effectively with students, faculty, staff, and visitors;
- Maintain College budgets, stipend and overloads;
- Monitor and maintain College asset and office inventory;
- Create reports on Simple Syllabus to ensure that all syllabi are submitted on time and maintain and distribute old syllabi for past courses;
- Update and maintain course lab fees;
- Prepare and maintain class schedules, including room reservations for classrooms;
- Prepare and monitor travel requests, vehicle requests, and vouchers for SSPAC;
- Process faculty load reports;
- Prepare purchase requisitions for purchases, invoice vouchers, and charge purchases, including yearly equipment release orders;
- Prepare personnel paperwork and payroll information;
- Prepare and submit work orders to Information Technology, Physical Plant, and Telecom;
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED required, Associate Degree preferred
- 3+ of office experience is required
- Computer application skills in the use of personal computers are required and should include a working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, data entry and retrieval, database management, as well as Google docs and Google Drive. Banner experience preferred.
- Individual must be able to compose and proofread correspondence in a timely and quality manner.
- Individual must be able to work cooperatively with others in a team-oriented environment.
- Individual must be able to use good judgement.
- Individual must be dependable, flexible, cooperative, team-oriented, and able to handle multiple priorities in a confidential manner. It is important that a professional appearance and positive attitude be displayed at all times, and a need to maintain confidentiality with the various aspects of the office is required
- Individual must be prompt with a proven record of regular attendance.
