Offer Description
Scope and nature of duties
The main duties include:
- Conducting research and development and scientific work at the Rocket Systems Centre;
- Providing substantive support to the Chief of the Rocket Systems Centre with regard to research conducted by the individual teams;
- Leading analytical and workshop-based work in the field of rocket technology;
- Supervising the work of the team and providing its personnel with substantive assistance;
- Preparing numerical-modelling scripts for rocket-technology applications in the fields of fluid mechanics and physical effects on structures;
- Participating in national and international conferences related to rocket technology;
- Publishing the results of research and development work in Polish and international scientific journals;
- Introducing and coordinating measures that directly improve the research and development work being conducted;
- Operating the assigned research and measurement equipment;
- Demonstrating independence and creativity in the position;
- Being able to participate in expert discussions concerning work carried out by the Rocket Systems Centre and actively promoting the Centre nationally and internationally;
- Continuously improving professional qualifications through training courses, industry courses, etc.

- A self-authored summary (concise information on research interests, achievements to date, participation in research projects, patents, implementations, and any other relevant information concerning scientific activity);
- A candidate's declaration bearing a handwritten signature and jointly comprising:
- a declaration of full legal capacity,
- a declaration of full entitlement to exercise public rights,
- a declaration that the candidate has not been convicted by a final court judgment of an intentional offence prosecuted by public indictment or an intentional fiscal offence,
- consent to the processing of personal data;
- The candidate's declaration constituting Appendix No. 6, bearing a handwritten signature;
- A certificate from the Polish National Criminal Register and certificates of psychological and psychiatric examinations required in connection with Polish Articles 28 and 29 of the Act on Conducting Business Activity in the Manufacture of and Trade in Explosives, Weapons, Ammunition, and Products and Technologies Intended for Military or Police Purposes, where the scientific position is connected with licensed activity (Polish Journal of Laws of 2023, item 1743, as amended);
- Any other materials or information that may be relevant to the competition (e.g. a foreign-language proficiency certificate, security clearance, etc.).

Formal requirements
The competition is open to persons who meet the requirements specified in the Polish Act of 30 April 2010 on Research Institutes (consolidated text: Journal of Laws of 2024, item 534), namely a person who:
- holds a Doctor of Engineering degree in the field of engineering and technology, specialising in rocket technology;
and, in addition:
- has at least one year of experience in a managerial position,
- has at least five years of professional experience in the field of security and defence,
- has participated in at least five research projects,
- has knowledge, skills and experience in CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) and FEM (Finite Element Method) numerical simulations,
- has knowledge, skills and experience in wind-tunnel testing,
- actively conducts scientific work, nationally and internationally, as evidenced by publications in Polish or international journals included in the list maintained by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, and by active participation (oral presentation or poster) in national or international conferences,
- has no criminal record for an intentional offence or fiscal offence,
- enjoys full public rights,
- has certified English-language proficiency at level C1 or higher,
- holds an authorisation/security clearance granting access to classified information marked CONFIDENTIAL, or agrees to undergo a security vetting procedure,
- meets the requirements set out in Polish Articles 28, 29 and 32 of the Act of 13 June 2019 on Conducting Business Activity in the Manufacture of and Trade in Explosives, Weapons, Ammunition, and Products and Technology for Military or Police Purposes, in the case of scientific positions covered by the relevant licence (consolidated text: Journal of Laws of 2022, item 1650).

Additional Information
The selection process will be conducted by a competition committee appointed by the Director of the Institute. The committee will hold an interview with candidates who meet the formal requirements. The results of the competition will be announced by 18.09.2026 y.
