Urologist

Self Regional Healthcare, a 356 bed tertiary care hospital and regional health system, is seeking a board eligible or board certified Urologist trained in the Da Vinci Surgical System® to join its organization along with four current urologists currently on staff. The healthcare system is expanding its urological program and intends to work with the urologists towards the development of a regional center of excellence for robotics in its urological service line.

The Opportunity:

Currently, there are four urologists practicing in Greenwood with tremendous demand for additional urologists in the area. The practice currently serves a seven-county referral area of over 250,000 people and is the only full time urological practice in approximately a sixty mile radius. There is a strong hospital affiliated primary care referral base in the region which is fully supportive of the practice, along with a large medical staff of over 250 active staff members in a broad range of specialties such as cardio-thoracic surgery, neurosurgery, women's services, and orthopedics. Self Regional Healthcare has state-of-the-art imaging services including X-Ray, CT, MRI and Ultrasound. We have recently installed three new Da Vinci 5 systems. This position offers a competitive compensation model that includes signing bonus, tuition assistance / residency stipend, relocation package, student loan assistance, 403(b) retirement plan, and medical and malpractice insurance.

About Greenwood, S.C.:

Located in the Lower Piedmont region of Upstate South Carolina, Greenwood exudes a friendly, small-town setting along with the progressive and active environment of a larger city. It is also the home of Lander University, a co-educational, state-assisted, comprehensive, regional four-year university. The Greenwood Genetics Center, a statewide nonprofit institute, is affiliated with the hospital and provides services centered on clinical genetic services, diagnostic laboratory testing, educational programs, and research.
