The Opportunity | Te Whiwhinga mahi
As the Senior Accountant – Subsidiaries, you will manage the end-to-end financial accounting function, ensuring robust reporting, compliance, and financial stewardship across multiple entities. You’ll work closely with subsidiary leadership teams, providing expert advice, driving transparency, and supporting strategic decision-making.
You will prepare statutory accounts, board reports, manage audits, coordinate with banks and fund managers, and support the development of annual budgets. Your expertise will ensure integrity of financial data, strong systems, and seamless external reporting.
You will also act as a subject matter expert within our financial systems, support project evaluations, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across finance operations of the subsidiaries.
This position reports to the Head of Finance, Corporate, with an indirect reporting line to the Financial Accounting and Treasury Manager.

About you | Ko wai koe
We’re looking for someone who is detail-oriented, proactive, and brings sound judgement to a wide range of financial activities. You will have:
- CA qualification (or equivalent) with 7+ years post-qualification experience in financial accounting, audit, or a commercial finance environment within complex organisations
- Strong understanding of Financial Reporting Standards, taxation, and NZ regulatory environment
- Experience with high-end ERP solutions
- Advanced analytical, spreadsheet, and financial management skills
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving capabilities
- Experience in trust accounting, venture investment or commercialisation environments are preferable.
- You will be someone who thrives under pressure, enjoys juggling multiple priorities, and is committed to integrity, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
