Senior Accounts Clerk [Temporary Cover] (Part Time)
The Department of Physiology, Development and Neuroscience (PDN) is seeking a team player to join us as a temporary Senior Accounts Clerk in our friendly accounts team. We are looking for someone to support the Chief Accounts Clerks in the day-to-day running of the Department's finances delivering a comprehensive accounts service for a range of activities within teaching, research and administration.
You will undertake a wide range of duties following University policy, procedures and best practice, in order to achieve accurate input within specified guidelines and meet deadlines to support the Departments scientists, teaching and administration staff.
The successful candidate will have experience working in an accounts environment, be highly organised, computer literate, and have excellent attention to detail. Good communication and people skills are also prerequisites for the role, which involves interacting with a range of stakeholders in the Department, the wider University and externally.
As a valued member of the accounts team, the post holder will provide robust support to colleagues. An AAT qualification (or equivalent) is desirable, as is experience working with the University Finance System.

The appointment is offered on a temporary, part time basis, 18.25 hours per week.
