Job Summary
The Sr. Adjunct Faculty Data Analyst, HR Academic Affairs, serves
as the Division of Academic Affairs, Office of Human Resources (
OHR ), and Payroll primary point of contact for the processing,
coordination, and management of all adjunct faculty contractual
agreements. This role ensures accurate, timely execution of adjunct
faculty employment contracts while maintaining compliance with
institutional policies and regulations. The Sr. Adjunct Faculty
Data Analyst manages the lifecycle of adjunct faculty hiring,
maintains data integrity within the Banner system, and assists in
the coordination of all onboarding activities.
Job Duties
Adjunct Faculty/Academic Affairs and Contract Management
- Manage adjunct faculty contracts and Banner data entry, and
ensure timely completion of all contracts.
Serve as the primary point of contact with administrative
faculty, hiring managers, budget officers, and coordinators on any
questions, concerns, or recommendations regarding adjunct faculty
contracts.
Manage the Adjunct Faculty Employee ID Setup form that allows
hiring managers to initiate EPAF (Employee Personnel Action Form)
contracts.
Ensure that all new hire adjunct faculty have an application in
the Morgan Employment Management System ( MEMS ).
Monitor Regular, FT staff hired as adjunct faculty to ensure
they are hired for only 2 classes or 6 credit hours, and that these
classes are not during standard working hours.
Input and update adjunct faculty position data, addresses, and
biographical information in the Banner system and maintain
up-to-date knowledge of Banner functionality.
Create and maintain a spreadsheet for voided adjunct faculty
contracts and define a streamlined communication process.
Design adjunct faculty contract training workshop for EPAF
initiators and present within Academic Affairs so that there is
consistency and reliability with contract submissions and Banner
data entry.
Background Check and Credentialing
- Conduct all pre-employment checks, including criminal
background checks and highest level of degree verification.
- Ensure all faculty transcripts, employee hiring documents, and
contracts are in employee files.
Onboarding and Compliance
- Manage new hire adjunct faculty onboarding workflows and ensure
completion of all required employment documents.
- Onboard effectively for Day 1 readiness and for system access
relative to the academic calendar.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with federal, state, and local
employment laws and regulations, and recommend best practices.
- Work closely with the Director of HR, Academic Affairs on
special projects and assignments related to adjunct faculty hiring
and compliance.
- Evaluate the adjunct faculty hiring lifecycle and recommend
system improvements and formally document business processes.
Audits and Data Maintenance
- Manage tasks associated with adjunct faculty data audits and
reporting requirements and troubleshoot root causes of audit
findings.
- Create, process, and review Argos reports as needed and utilize
reporting tools to create operational data reports as requested by
administrative faculty or administrative units.
Requested Minimum Qualifications
Education:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources,
Business Administration, or a closely related field from an
accredited institution is required.
Experience:
At least three to five years of human
resources experience working with data input and systems is also
required.
Other Preferences for Consideration
Preferences:
- Three to five years of higher education experience is highly
preferred.
- Previous Banner experience is highly preferred but not
required.
- HRIS database, DocuSign, and Microsoft Suite experience is
highly preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Proficiency in HRIS platforms and reporting tools.
- Exceptional time management to handle high-volume contract
cycles under tight deadlines.
- Excellent organizational skills with a proven ability to meet
deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in utilizing
workforce dashboards.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and HRMS -related
software.
- Excellent customer service and processing skills with an
attention to detail.
