This newly created role is a chance to shape the future of diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) at Massey. Reporting to the Executive Director People & Culture, you will bring passion, expertise, and courage to champion equitable practices, reduce inequalities, and foster a true sense of belonging across our University.
Ngā kawenga | What you’ll do
- Manage and provide subject matter expertise in the research, development and implementation of impactful DEI strategies, initiatives and programmes.
- Provide expert advice to senior leaders and stakeholders on complex matters relating to employee equity, including pay equity claims, committees and working groups.
- Harness and analyse DEI data and provide strategic reporting and recommendations to enable evidence-based decision-making.
- Promote and collaborate on development activities that build a culture of inclusion, fostering equity, reducing bias, and amplifying diverse voices.

You will be an experienced DEI practitioner who thrives in complex organisations. With both strategic and hands-on capability, you can:
- Influence, inspire and collaborate across all organisational levels and with diverse groups of stakeholders.
- Build credibility through relationships, advocacy, and integrity.
- Translate strategy into scalable programmes that make a measurable difference.
- Work with big data sets and research to uncover insights and strengthen outcomes.
