Collaborates with executive recruiters to place graduate students and alumni in senior level and executive management roles. 4. Serves as liaison between employers, faculty, administrators and alumni to advance career opportunities. 5. Represents the college to external groups to promote the admissions, alumni relations and placement goals of the college. 6. Manages experienced hire programs for one or more graduate degree programs. Monitors, analyses and reports on labor market conditions and emerging technologies to assist in program development. 7. Maintains and analyzes data and conducts assessments regarding career services and placement for reporting to the university and the media. 8. Develops training for students inside and outside the classroom to help them build and assess skills related to professional communications and development. 9. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Additional Position Information Description: The Rockwell Career Center supports over 8,500 business majors within the C.T. Bauer College of Business by providing career and professional development, hosting industry-focused events, and connecting academia with industry. We are a committed team of professionals focused on student success. The Career Development specialist will provide career development services to undergraduate Management and Supply Chain Management students at the C.T. Bauer College of Business, through individual advising/coaching, workshops, and seminars. Advise undergraduate students on career related topics such as career exploration, resumes and cover letters, technical and case interviews, search strategies, offer negotiation, and more. Collaborate with the undergraduate and MBA/MS career coaching teams to apply best practices and provide world-class career services. Work with industry relations managers to gain information and promote internship and job opportunities to students, and to prepare students to interview for these roles. Participate in First Destination data collection efforts. Support institutional events, including orientation, career mixers, student organizations and other student events. Collaborate with colleagues in the Rockwell Career Center, Undergraduate Business Programs Office and college-wide. Qualifications: Experience will be considered in lieu of master’s degree. Bachelor’s degree required. Required Qualifications: • Exceptional oral and written communication skills • Proficiency in MS Office • Demonstrated ability to speak and present in a classroom environment • Minimum of 3 years experience with career coaching or recruiting Preferred Qualifications: • Business experience in recruiting, consulting, industry specific roles, and/or experience working in higher education • Exemplary ability to motivate students through the job search process • 3 years of relevant work experience in career coaching, leadership training within a business career services office, or a combination of business career services experience and industry experience in a related business industry This is a full-time, in-office position. Core office hours are Monday – Friday 8am-5pm. Evening and weekend hours may be required as needed for presentation or event coverage. Notes to Applicant: Please include full work history on resume. Knowledge of this level is typically obtained through a directly job-related Master's degree or equivalent formal training in a recognized field of specialization that is directly related to the type of work being performed.
