This is an exciting opportunity to join the Regulations, Assessment and Student Casework team in the position of Senior Co-ordinator (Assessment, Regulations & Appeals). As one of a team of five Senior Co-ordinators (ARA), you will provide crucial support for colleagues across the institution in relation to assessment and regulatory frameworks as well as supporting one of our four faculties as a primary point of contact. You will work closely with the Faculty on their assessment schedule, identifying and delivering training, staff development and guidance materials. You will also take the lead in investigating and drafting responses to stage 1 academic appeals, contributing to the compilation of annual reports for committees and clerking pan-university working groups. The role will require you to work closely with colleagues across the institution but in particular with colleagues in the Student Course and Administration Office and the relevant Faculty Deputy Dean (Education).

The Person

This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to further develop their experience of working in assessment, regulation and student casework. The successful candidate will have a strong foundation in this area, possibly within the context of a student office or within an academic registry function. You will have knowledge and experience of working with academic appeals procedures as well as a good understanding of mitigation, academic misconduct, data integrity, assessment boards and other assessment-related procedures. You will be enthusiastic and proactive and enjoy problem solving. You will also thrive on fostering good working relationships with colleagues across the institution in order to develop a culture of continuous improvement and enjoy contributing to a strong team approach to work.
