Who are we looking for?
We are seeking a Senior Commercial Services Officer to join Campus Services, Administrative Division.
The Senior Commercial Services Officer contributes to the successful delivery of the University’s commercial services portfolio within Campus Services. The position is responsible for playing a key role in managing service contracts, leading and supporting implementation of commercial initiatives, and ensuring services are delivered efficiently to meet customer expectations. The role focuses on coordinating day-to-day commercial operations, maintaining strong working relationships with service providers and stakeholders, and supporting the delivery of commercial outcomes that enhance campus life and align with the University’s objectives. This position reports to the Associate Director, Commercial Services for career planning, development and performance expectations.
We’re offering this role as a hybrid position as part of QUT’s commitment to embracing the opportunities created by a more virtual and connected world.
About us
QUT is a major Australian university with a global outlook and a 'real world' focus. We are an ambitious and collaborative institution that seeks to equip our students and graduates with the skills they will need in an increasingly disrupted and challenged world.
Campus Services is responsible for a range of essential services to support the activities of the university.
The department comprises the following areas:
• Campus Planning
• Property
• Commercial Services
• Security and Emergency Management
• Integrated Transport Services
• Travel
Campus Services is reimagining its Commercial Services function to become a more strategic and revenue-generating contributor to QUT’s long-term financial sustainability. Many existing services operate in fragmented or legacy models, limiting their commercial potential—this transformation will unify and scale service delivery while using data to drive performance. External partnerships will be sharpened through a commercial lens to ensure offerings are financially viable, market-aligned, and customer-focused. Through this shift, Campus Services will embed a culture of commercial excellence that delivers improved outcomes and generates income to help fund the university’s core mission and future growth..
