Applications are invited for the temporary post of Senior Design Engineer – RF (R&D) for Solid-State Microwave Generator Group, India Centre for Lab Grown Diamond (InCent – LGD), IIT Madras.

Job Title: Senior Design Engineer
Essential Qualifications:
- Master’s degree with 3+ years of industrial experience in R&D in area of RF/Microwave engineering.
- Hands-on experience in designing and simulating developing RF oscillators/Signal generators, antenna design and matching network circuits for high frequency applications using ADS and HFSS, strong fundamentals of RF/Microwave, PCB design and RF hardware debugging.
Job Description:
- Senior Design Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing RF oscillators/Signal generators and related circuit design.
- Theoretical and analytical skills in design and analysing circuits.
- The role requires you to work with device fabrication and related cross functional teams.
- Should be independently able to perform RF component selection, PCB design.
- Candidate should have a strong innovative mind set and be able to work as a team.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in designing RF / Microwave circuits and experience with s parameter analysis, harmonic balance, and EM simulation.
- Good theoretical and practical understanding of RF engineering fundamentals and test methodology.
- Hand on experience in using RF test equipment like VNA, Scopes, spectrum analyser etc.
- Experience in design tools related to RF and Microwave engineering such as ADS, HFSS.
- Should be able to perform phase noise, jitter and stability measurements for evaluation of RF circuit performance.
- The ability to code control firmware using MCU and FPGA will be an added advantage.
- Understanding system architecture design & cross-functional integration.
- Experience in working with global semiconductor manufacturing companies will be a plus.
- Relevant trainings on RF design and will be a plus.
Pay Scale: Consolidated pay Rs. 75,000/(minimum) per month all inclusive; actual salary will be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and expertise.
