- Remuneration: $138,193 to $156,633 pa (HEW8) (inclusive of $116,774 to $132,357 salary pa, 17% superannuation and 17.5% recreation leave loading)

Who are we looking for?
We are seeking a Senior Engineer, Operations to join Digital Business Solutions, Administrative Division.
The Senior Engineer, Operations is a member of the Corporate Systems team who takes responsibility for maintaining and improving a complex landscape of business-critical solutions, providing operational support to our customers and helping to implement QUT's Digital Strategy which includes a multi-year project to implement a new Enterprise Resource Planning system. This role will work in partnership with team members, clients and other IT professionals, with a focus on maintaining a range of solutions related to the Corporate Applications environment, encompassing Finance and HR Systems. The work undertaken by this team is critical to driving business efficiencies. The appointee may be required to be contactable and/or work outside of standard business hours on occasion. These instances will be treated in accordance with the relevant provisions in the Enterprise Agreement for Professional Staff. This position reports to the Manager, Corporate Systems for career planning, development, and performance expectations.

What you need to succeed
- Education, training and/or relevant experience equivalent to the completion of postgraduate qualifications, or progress towards postgraduate qualifications with extensive relevant experience.
- Demonstrated technical capability in administering corporate applications, including system configuration, performance monitoring, implementation activities, and ensuring stable and secure system operations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to undertake advanced troubleshooting to identify, diagnose, and resolve complex issues while exercising sound professional judgement to achieve excellent client service.
- Proven experience engaging with stakeholders to understand requirements, translating these into well?designed technical solutions, and implementing them using suitable tools, technologies, and methodologies.
- Demonstrated organisational skills, including time management and the ability to successfully prioritise, work under pressure, and produce high?quality work within tight time commitments.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with demonstrated experience communicating complex technology issues clearly and confidently at all levels within the organisation.
