Senior ERP Project Manager
Job Summary
The Senior ERP Project Manager will drive successful implementation of ERP projects, including new ERPs, upgrades, modifications, and related efforts. Coordinates technical activities and change management associated with large and complex IT projects, including those hosted by the University System of Georgia (USG), and external vendor providers. Serves as overall technical lead and liaison with the University's Human Resources, Finance, and Information Technology teams, USG's ERP project team, and the University's IT service providers. The Senior ERP Project Manager will create and manage technical project plans, ensuring effective delivery of project goals within the project's schedule, budget and committed resources. The Senior ERP Project Manager will recommend and take action to direct the analysis and solutions of problems and might also be the organization's expert on specific technologies.
Responsibilities
PROJECT MANAGEMENT: Manage assigned projects and related activities to ensure project timelines, deliverables and milestones are achieved within the project's schedule, budget and committed resources. Plan, coordinate and monitor all project activities. Ensure all deliverables meet quality and performance level expectations. Identify and facilitate the resolution of project issues with the project team, internal resources, USG participants and external resources. Coordinate and facilitate meetings with project teams, including technical teams, functional teams, USG teams, and other University teams and/or constituents as needed. Manage and control project technical activities in accordance with plans and schedules while making adjustments to improve project flow. Facilitate project flow by ensuring team members are aware of tasks and expected deliverables. Manage vendors and track budgets. Provide input on contract deliverables to ensure proper alignment with project goals. Motivate teams to build commitment to objectives and tasks. Negotiate resource adjustments to facilitate completion. Assure technical unit testing is sufficient and complete before extending to user for acceptance testing.
RISK MITIGATION: Provide solutions and risk mitigations where necessary.
STATUS REPORTS: Provide bi-weekly project status reports to the project stakeholders including sponsors, business owners and team members.
PROJECT LIAISON: Serve as the project liaison in working closely with USG ERP project managers and the University's project team to develop and implement appropriate plans, refine and execute technical strategy and plans, ensure effective collaborative efforts, organizational change processes and escalate scope-related changes, risks, strategic decisions and recommendations as needed.
COMMUNICATIONS: Coordinate and facilitate communications across multiple stakeholders and sponsors. Facilitate meetings to discuss progress and resolve project issues.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and seven or more years of experience, including leading and managing IT projects in a complex organization. Extensive knowledge of ERP systems. Proven ability to lead and keep team members focused on project tasks for effective project delivery. Proven ability to work independently and assist in product evaluations, recommendations and presentations. Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) Credential required.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree from an accredited college or university. Successful experience working with large scale enterprise systems, particularly ERP systems typically used within an higher education environment.

KNOWLEDGE
Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases.
SKILLS
Detail-oriented with strong prioritization and organizational skills.
Strong oral and writing skills to communicate with leadership and staff at various organizational levels, and the ability to work with computers/view computers screen and type with manual dexterity the vast majority of the day.
Sound project management skills in all domains with the ability to apply PMI standards and other methodologies.
Strong customer service skills with a focus on relationship building with customers and teams.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail.
ABILITIES
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Ability to communicate in writing and verbally including the ability to speak publicly and present.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Shift/Salary/Benefits
Shift: Days; M-F (Work outside of regular business hours may be required)
Pay Band: B16
Salary: $95,200/annually - $105,000/annually
Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position
