Job Description

The incumbent will be responsible for the admissions processes of our various MSc programmes but with oversight of dedicated MSc programme(s), as well as Graduate Certificate programmes in collaboration with other team colleagues. S/he will work with the various stakeholders (Academic Director, relevant faculty members, students, internal and external stakeholders) to ensure the smooth running of the admissions process of our programmes. S/he will also have an important public relations role in representing the MSc Programmes Office, NUS Business School, and NUS both internally and externally, and contribute to the Business School’s mission and values.

  • Contribute to a dynamic team involved in the growth of the MSc Programmes Office.
  • Oversee and manage the admissions administration and processes (e.g. reviewing of application materials, organizing/conducting interviews, preparing reports and admissions materials for management review, etc.)
  • Contribute to the improvement of admissions processes through process review and automation.
  • Liaise with prospective applicants on application documentation and submissions.
  • Oversee and provide support to students for admissions-related matters (e.g. Application process, Student Pass, Matriculation, etc.)
  • Manage the interviewing scheduling for the MSc programmes.
  • Collaborate closely with faculty in conducting and transcribing admission interviews.
  • Conduct administrative briefing sessions for students.
  • Provide admission and general counselling to students.
  • Deliver a superior level of customer service and programme satisfaction to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support Welcome Session, Orientation, student recruitment and other programme events organized by the MSc Programmes Office.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Associate Director, Director, Academic Director and Programme Office.

Qualifications

  • A good bachelor’s degree with at least 3 to 5 years’ relevant work experience, preferably in a higher education institution.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to confidently engage and consult with senior level internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills and high attention to details and accuracy in tracking and managing admissions for academic programmes.
  • Observant in identifying process, operational and service gaps and propose solutions.
  • Passionate in seeking constant improvements to processes and service delivery.
  • Strong customer service focus in cross-cultural environments.
  • Self-driven with a high level of autonomy and yet be a team player simultaneously.
  • Proactive and demonstrate creative, innovative and service-oriented approaches to problem solving.
  • IT savvy and proficient in Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Bookings, Power BI, Power Automate and basic programming (eg. Python, R) is highly desirable.
