Job Description

Established in 1905 to educate and train medical professionals for Singapore, the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine is recognised as one of Asia's leading medical educational and research institutions. As a valued member of the Office for Students, you will find yourself at the epicentre of student life, playing a crucial role in supporting essential administrative functions while contributing positively to the personal development journeys of NUS students. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain extensive experience across various facets of student affairs, including committee management and the orchestration of large-scale events, all within a vibrant and dynamic academic setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary secretariat for the PSCC and FTC committees, ensuring effective coordination of meetings and comprehensive documentation.
  • Facilitate and oversee disciplinary investigations, safeguarding a fair and transparent process throughout.
  • Manage the drafting, distribution, and follow-up of outcome reports to all involved stakeholders.
  • Assist the OfS Admin Lead with varied administrative and committee-related responsibilities as required.
  • Provide cross-support for Student Support Managers when necessary, addressing students' disciplinary or wellbeing concerns.
  • Assist in tracking and reporting the progress of the OfS annual strategic plan and key initiatives effectively.
  • Support the preparation and publication of the OfS annual report.
  • Engage actively in the planning, piloting, and implementation of new projects and initiatives, fostering innovation and advancement.
  • Allocate a significant proportion of time on assisting the Admissions team lead in managing & organizing this key event.
  • Provide administrative assistance for various ad hoc events, adapting to the needs of the moment.

  • Adept at managing sensitive matters and maintaining confidentiality with the utmost discretion and professionalism.
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills, equipped with a meticulous attention to detail that ensures smooth operations.
