The Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (LKCMedicine) trains doctors who put patients at the centre of their exemplary care. The School, which offers both undergraduate and graduate programmes, is named after local philanthropist Tan Sri Dato Lee Kong Chian. Established in 2010 by Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, in partnership with Imperial College London, LKCMedicine aims to be a model for innovative medical education and a centre for transformative research. The School’s primary clinical partner is the National Healthcare Group, a leader in public healthcare recognised for the quality of its medical expertise, facilities and teaching. The School is transitioning to an NTU medical school ahead of the 2028 successful conclusion of the NTU-Imperial partnership to set up a Joint Medical School. In August 2024, we welcomed our first intake of the NTU MBBS programme, that has been recently enhanced to include themes like precision medicine and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in healthcare, with an expanded scope in the medical humanities. Graduates from the five-year undergraduate medical degree programme will have a strong understanding of the scientific basis of medicine, with an emphasis on technology, data science and the humanities.

We are looking for an experienced individual to drive the effective use of digital tools and technologies to enhance the learning experience for the medical school. The job scope will involve overseeing the implementation and utilisation of digital learning technologies in medical school. The candidate will work closely with the faculty and/or learning designer to design and develop technology-enabled learning solutions for the lesson.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify, evaluate, and recommend digital learning platforms, software, and tools.
  • Analyse the Medical School’s needs and align them with appropriate educational technologies.
  • Support the integration of approved technologies into the curriculum.
  • Provide consultancy and advisory support to faculty and staff on learning technologies.
  • Offer ongoing technical and pedagogical support to ensure effective adoption
  • Plan, oversee, and manage digital learning projects from initiation to completion.
  • Set project timelines, coordinate resources, and manage stakeholders and project teams.
  • Monitor progress, risks, and deliverables to ensure successful implementation.
  • Stay updated on emerging trends, tools, and best practices in digital learning and educational technology.
  • Explore and pilot new technologies and pedagogical approaches.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders including faculty, learning designers, and project teams.
  • Present proposed solutions and project outcomes to stakeholders.
  • Facilitate alignment between educational, technological, and organisational objectives.

Requirements:

  • Relevant diploma in IT or related discipline and equivalent in Educational Technology or a related field in Education or Training, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • At least 5 years of relevant working experience and knowledge of emerging and current technologies for technology-enabled learning and educational technology
  • Good domain knowledge in learning management systems and applications for teaching and learning in higher education institutes
  • Experience in designing and developing new technologies for learning
  • Experience working with educators and education departments is preferred
  • Experience in planning, implementing, and assessing the effective use of technology in learning environments
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
