Job Description
NUS College is seeking a committed and student-focused Senior Executive, Student Life to support the development and delivery of a vibrant student experience.
The successful candidate will work closely with students, student leaders and colleagues to plan and deliver student programmes, activities and events. The role combines student engagement and advising with hands-on programme and event operations, as well as administrative, financial and procurement responsibilities. The candidate should be organised, resourceful and comfortable working in a dynamic environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Engage with students and student leaders, providing advice, support and guidance on Student Life matters, activities and initiatives.
- Coordinate and implement student programmes, activities and events, including managing venues, vendors, equipment, registration and other logistical arrangements.
- Provide on-site operational support for student activities and events, including occasional weekday evening programmes.
- Support the administration of student groups, grants, funding and other Student Life initiatives, including budgeting, expenditure tracking and procurement processes.
- Liaise with relevant NUS departments, vendors and external stakeholders to ensure the smooth delivery of programmes and activities.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation and prepare reports and other administrative materials as required.
- Gather feedback from students and stakeholders and contribute to the evaluation and continuous improvement of Student Life programmes.
- Undertake other duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- A good degree with at least 4 years of relevant work experience, preferably in student affairs, higher education, event management, community engagement or programme administration.
- Experience working with university students, student organisations or youth communities is advantageous.
- Experience in planning and managing events, including logistical and operational arrangements.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Good organisational, administrative and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Proactive, resourceful, adaptable and solutions-oriented, with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
- Familiarity with NUS procurement and financial processes would be an advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and commonly used digital tools.
- Willingness and ability to work beyond normal office hours, including weekday evenings, when required to support student activities and events.
