Wingate University is seeking a qualified Senior Finance & Budget Analyst. The Analyst is responsible for supporting the development of the University’s operating budget, budget reporting, variance analysis, and working as an administrator for Workday’s Adaptive Planning. The Analyst will work cross-functionally across the University to support the institution’s financial goals as established by the annual budget.

Responsibilities for this position include:

  • Responsible for the Administration of Workday Adaptive Planning, the University’s planning & budget tool. This includes supporting users in their use of Adaptive Planning and report creation/maintenance.
  • Creates budget reports to monitor financial activity and results
  • Perform variance analysis to explain variations to the operating budget for Senior Management
  • Supports budget planners, cost center managers, and department chairs on annual budget development
  • Interacts effectively with the University community on financial and budget topics
  • Assists the University Budget Manager with preparing the annual budget and budget reporting
  • Perform ad-hoc financial analysis to support the University’s operations

Job/Skill Requirements:

  • Strong Knowledge of U.S GAAP and Financial Reporting capabilities
  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Accounting or Finance. 3-5+ Years of experience in Finance
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience with Workday, preferably in the Workday Adaptive Planning environment
  • Must possess excellent customer service skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Unquestionable integrity and personal ethics.
  • Strong attention to detail, passion for excellence and a great attitude
