Overview
Reporting to the Director of Financial Aid, the Senior Financial Aid Administrator is responsible for the management and oversight of all aspects of the student financial aid process. Responsibilities
- Administer federal, state, and institutional financial aid programs in compliance with all applicable regulations, including Title IV requirements
- Ensure adherence to policies set forth by the US Department of Education and other regulatory bodies
- Student packaging, awarding, verification, and disbursement processes
- Monitor regulatory changes and implement operational updates to maintain compliance
- Provide comprehensive financial aid counseling to prospective and current students and families
- Guide students through FAFSA completion, verification requirements, and funding options
- Resolve complex financial aid issues with a high level of professionalism and responsiveness
- Utilize and maintain student information systems to ensure accurate processing and reporting
- Performs exit interviews and loan counseling to students upon graduation
Qualifications
Education/Experience
- Bachelor's degree required
- Minimum of 3+ years of financial aid experience in higher education
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and regulatory accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to student service and institutional mission.
Travel
- Locally as needed for staff coverage
- May be required to travel overnight for training
Maximum Salary
USD $62,843.00/Yr.
Minimum Salary
USD $50,274.00/Yr.
