Senior Health Economist

Applications are invited for a Senior Health Economist to join a team working with Associate Professor Koen Pouwels. This research programme focuses on evaluating the cost-effectiveness of different infectious disease related interventions, with a particular focus on those targeting urinary tract infections. You will join an expanding group of infectious disease modellers and health economists based at the University of Oxford’s Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences (NDPCHS).

Reporting to Associate Professor Koen Pouwels, the post holder will contribute to representing the research group locally, nationally and internationally, and collaborate with stakeholders to advance infectious disease research and policy. It includes managing and strengthening collaborations with existing and new partners, facilitating knowledge exchange, and ensuring that findings are effectively integrated into the local context and national policy discussions.

The successful candidate will have a track record in high quality research linked to health economics, evidenced by high-quality peer-reviewed publications.

You will be based in the Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences, Radcliffe Primary Care Building, Woodstock Road, Oxford, OX2 6GG as your normal place of work but you will be able to agree a pattern of regular remote working with your line manager.

The position is part time (0.6 FTE) and fixed-term for one year or until 30 April 2027, whichever is earlier.
