Our Infrastructure team provides an expertise pool in scientific hardware deployments, installations, monitoring, problem solving and problem mitigation. This team underpins all of the activities of the SCRTP and of Computational Research at the University. This post will have a clear strategic position managing the research storage and providing core services via the virtualisation platform. About You We are seeking an individual with prior experience of scientific computing infrastructure to join our team and engage across all of the areas mentioned. The position is open-ended and will involve a variety of activity in the long-term. Over the first few years this may include (but is not limited to):

• Development, maintenance and monitoring of our HPC systems and their associated storage systems.
• Development of tools and analytics to better support our extended research community.
• Support of our datacentre activities and expansion.

Exact projects and duties will be managed across the SCRTP team to best suit the skills and experience of the recruited individual. The role is well suited to candidates with a research infrastructure background looking to broaden their expertise. It provides an opportunity to create real impact across a range of projects.
