Senior HR Change Manager

The University of Southampton is a leading research-intensive University, a founding member of the prestigious Russell Group, and sits within the top 1% of universities worldwide.

Our people are our university: they are at the heart of everything we do and the impact we make on a local to global scale. With greater diversity and inclusivity to reflect society, we enable our education, research and enterprise to transform the communities we serve. Diversity is a strength; it makes us more creative and accelerates our impact on society.

The role

The Senior HR Change Manager will lead, from a people‑centred perspective, the strategic design, planning and delivery of a significant organisational change project across the faculty. Providing expert support, coaching and constructive challenge to ensure the people and organisational implications of major change programmes are fully understood. Through proactive guidance, influence and partnership working, you will shape and deliver effective solutions that strengthen our culture, enable high performance, and support the University to achieve its strategic ambitions.

About you

You will bring extensive experience leading large-scale complex change, organisational design, TUPE consultation, and transformation initiatives. You will be confident managing end-to-end projects and applying employment legislation including TUPE in a complex and fast paced environment. Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, and relationship-building skills are essential to support a consistent and effective approach to people-related elements of major change.

As the successful candidate you will share our values. Our values | University Strategy | University of Southampton

What we can offer you

As a university we aim to create an environment where everyone can thrive and are proactive in fostering a culture of inclusion, respect and equality of opportunity. We believe that we can only truly meet our objectives if we are reflective of society, so we are passionate about creating a working environment in which you are free to bring your whole self to work. We welcome applications from candidates who are committed to helping us create an inclusive work environment.

Based at our lively Highfield campus, you will have access to our sports complex, and lots of social and green spaces. Committed to supporting our staff, we are open to a flexible working approach with a mix of home and office working. We consider applicants that wish to work flexibly and those who have taken a career break.

As well as additional benefits that will make your life easier, such as a generous holiday allowance (44 days including bank holidays and closure days), we will support your long-term future too, with access to the Universities Superannuation Scheme (USS)*, subsidised health and fitness facilities and a range of discounts. All our benefits can be viewed here

To apply, please complete an online application and attach your CV and a cover letter (no more than 500 words) detailing how your skills and experience match the skills required for the role.

Please note that interviews are expected to take place on Wednesday 25 March and Thursday 26 March.
