Senior Human Resources Development Specialist
Job Summary
The Senior Human Resources Development Specialist is responsible for developing and implementing strategies and programs that foster positive employee experience and enhance overall organizational performance. Specifically, the Senior Human Resources Development Specialist will support the development and implementation of employee learning and development solutions at the institution. This includes analyzing the institution's needs, driving learning recommendations to meet these needs, and evaluating the effectiveness. This position is a hands-on position that will be involved in building courses and classroom delivery.
Responsibilities
- Develop, manage, and publish a course catalog and annual calendar of learning and development offerings. Contribute to the development and implementation of L&D policies.
- Develop course content and supporting job aids into appropriate media; including, but not limited to, PowerPoint presentations, Word documents, and e-learning modules.
- Facilitate learning using a variety of instructional techniques and formats such as simulations, team exercises, group discussions, videos, and interactive lectures.
- Collaborate with management to identify training and development opportunities that enhance employee skills, job satisfaction, and career growth. Develop, implement, and analyze employee surveys to gather feedback on workplace satisfaction, identify areas for improvement, and track employee engagement trends. Analyze employee engagement data and prepare reports to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
- Responsible for New Employee Orientation program which will assist employees in understanding the college culture, policies, and procedures. Serve as the liaison for the Employee Assistance Program. Serve as USG Well-Being Program liaison and manage the GGC Well-Being Program by developing, implementing and coordinating wellness initiatives and activities to support employees' physical and mental health, including stress management and work-life balance.
- Responsible for deploying all USG and GGC compliance training for faculty and staff through the automated training system, tracking completion rates, and reporting completion to USG while ensuring it is in accordance with required standards.
- Responsible for managing recognition and reward programs to celebrate employee milestones and achievements (i.e. Service Awards).
- Provide in-depth support to managers with the performance evaluation process, by assisting with goal setting and feedback.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- 4 Year / Bachelor's Degree
- Five or more years of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Five or more years of measurable success in field of training, including learning administration, course design and development and adult education/learning styles.
- Good working knowledge and understanding of eLearning development software (i.e. Adobe Captivate, Adobe Creative Suite 6, LinkedIn Learning)
- Prior experience with Skillsoft LMS preferred
- Prior experience in a growth environment is strongly preferred
Proposed Salary
56,800 - 71,000
Salary offer will be dependent on candidate's experience and qualifications, internal equity considerations, budget availability, and salary administration guidelines.

- Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

- Knowledge of best practices in learning and development.
- Knowledge of the performance evaluation process.
- Knowledge of principles and methods for curricula and training design.
- Ability to maintain extreme confidentiality of employee and institution records.
- Proven ability to establish ownership and drive assigned initiatives through to completion on time, meeting or exceeding expectations.
- Self-motivated, hard-working, and eager to learn.
- Solid organizational and prioritization skills including proven attention to detail.
- Specific knowledge and experience in software and technologies used in the creation and delivery of online courses.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication skills, a collaborative nature, and the ability to work in a cross-team environment.
