Maynooth University wishes to appoint a Senior Infrastructure Specialist on a full-time permanent basis to be a technical lead in the design, development, operation and support of ICT infrastructure services and their use by the University. ICT infrastructure services are provided to support: Internet via HEAnet, campus and cloud data centre, campus network, Wi-Fi, voice, Microsoft 365, VLE, web, storage and directory services to students and staff.

This role reports to the ICT Infrastructure Manager. The successful candidate will actively participate in the design, development, operation and support of the portfolio of ICT infrastructure services and is part of the Infrastructure team. The successful candidate will supervise staff. The Infrastructure team works alongside the User Support team as part of the IT Operations section in IT Services.

It may be necessary to work outside normal hours on occasion as is typical with roles involving critical infrastructure and services.

Applicants should be aware that this is a role that supports critical infrastructure located on campus and as such, the successful applicant will be expected to work on campus to discharge their duties and on limited occasions it may also be necessary to work outside normal hours as is typical with roles involving critical infrastructure and services.

Salary:
Administrative Officer I: €59,220– €84,494 p.a. (9 points)

Appointments will be made in accordance with public sector pay provisions.
