Senior Insights Adviser

In this role, you will deliver market insights that shape brand, reputation, recruitment and communication strategies university-wide.
You will manage research projects, coordinate suppliers and translate findings into clear recommendations for key stakeholders.
You will collaborate across divisions, strengthening a data-informed culture and improving marketing decision-making across the University.
What you will deliver:
  • Lead and coordinate outsourced and internal market research projects, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality methodologies and outputs.
  • Develop and communicate actionable insights from qualitative and quantitative research, guiding decisions on brand, marketing, recruitment and communications.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Academic Divisions, Chancellery and external suppliers to support strategic research programmes.
  • Curate and manage a University-wide market insights library and communications, including reports, dashboards, newsletters and shared platforms.
  • Ensure compliance, quality assurance and ethical standards across all research activities, aligned with University policies and governance.

  • Hold a relevant tertiary qualification in marketing, communications, finance, business or a closely related discipline.
  • Demonstrate substantial experience in market research and project management within marketing or communications environments.
  • Apply strong analytical skills to synthesise data from multiple sources into clear, strategic insights and recommendations.
  • Navigate complex organisations confidently, managing diverse stakeholders and influencing decisions through evidence-based insight storytelling.
  • Communicate effectively in writing and verbally, tailoring messages for senior leaders, peers and external partners.
  • Operate with high professional standards, respecting confidentiality and ethical requirements in all research and reporting activities.
