Expected skills
Applicants must show a strong interest in teaching as well as a high-level scientific record in accordance with UGA’s ambitions. Context and educational objectives
Educational expectations
- The successful candidate must have a good knowledge of clinical psychology and psychopathology (theoretical models, assessment, prevention, promotion, and intervention). Significant knowledge and experience in legal psychology, particularly in aggressology and/or victimology, will be considered an asset and given priority during the selection process.
- The successful candidate will provide theoretical, methodological and practical teaching in the Psychology degree course (e.g., introduction to psychocriminology and victimology, psychopathology; psychopathology; introduction to the major approaches in clinical psychology; introduction to research). In the Master's programme (or at the master’s level), they will be involved in the three clinical psychology programmes (e.g., clinical methodology, clinical interviewing) as well as in the psychocriminology and victimology programme (e.g., in the field of prevention).
- The successful candidate will supervise research projects (TER) in the third year of bachelor’s, professional dissertations in the first and second years of the professional master’s degree, and research in the first and second years of the research-oriented master’s degree.
- Clinical experience will be considered very favourably.
- The application file shall specify an integration project at the training level.
Research project and scientific impact
Scientific profile
- The successful candidate will join the Clinical Psychology and Psychological Processes axis (PCPP) of LIP/PC2S. Their research should be integrated into those of this group, through an empirical or experimental approach to the psychological processes involved in the development, maintenance and worsening of psychological problems, in the fields of victimology and psychocriminology and psychopathology.
- The successful candidate is expected to have published academic work (as first author) in publications of high quality and be part of international networks (e.g., international collaborations, visiting researcher in an international institution/university, and/or membership of major associations of the discipline), in order to participate in the internationalisation of research and its excellence.
- The successful candidate must have at least one publication in a leading psychology journal or a top-tier generalist journal, addressing a topic relevant to the discipline. Particular attention will be paid to the coherence between the candidate’s publications and the specialisation targeted by the recruitment.
- Research experience conducted outside the PhD laboratory – such as a research stay during the doctoral programme, a postdoctoral fellowship, or work within another research institution – and carried out with teams distinct from those of the PhD will be considered an asset for the application.
- Collaborations with civil society actors are also highly appreciated.
- The successful candidate will be expected to supervise research work at the research master's level and will eventually co-supervise work at the doctoral level.
- Good knowledge and willingness to implement open science practices (e.g. pre-registration, data sharing...) are expected. An already effective adoption of these practices (when the type of research allows it) will be highly appreciated.
- The application file must specify a scientific integration project within the PCPP research area.
