The College of Pharmacy invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track Senior Lecturer position for a 9-month term (Autumn 2026Spring 2027). This role is targeted for a pharmacist who is passionate about teaching, instructional innovation, and interdisciplinary healthcare education.
This position is teaching-focused, with approximately 90% effort devoted to instruction and 10% to service. The successful candidate will contribute to the colleges undergraduate and Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) programs by delivering engaging, high-quality instruction with an emphasis on clinical and applied scientific content. Additional responsibilities may include course coordination, student assessment, academic mentoring, and active participation in curricular initiatives that enhance program quality. Additionally, the successful candidate will serve on the colleges PharmD Admissions Committee.
The role also includes contributing to interprofessional education efforts and collaborating with faculty across disciplines. Experience in team-based learning, interprofessional education, or other collaborative instructional models is highly desirable. Candidates with experience teaching in both in-person and online environments are strongly preferred. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to student-centered teaching and continuous improvement in educational practice.
This position involves in-person teaching assignments and will require travel to the Columbus campus on most days. However, the successful candidate could take advantage of a hybrid work arrangement if their teaching schedule permits. The college will not sponsor work visas for this position.
Performance Objectives
- Deliver high-quality instruction using evidence-informed, student-centered teaching practices in both in-person and online settings.
- Promote student learning and success through effective course coordination, timely assessment of learning outcomes, and responsiveness to student needs.
- Contribute to interprofessional education initiatives that foster collaboration and prepare students for team-based healthcare practice.
- Enhance instructional effectiveness through ongoing reflection, adoption of innovative teaching strategies, and integration of appropriate educational technologies.
- Fulfill service responsibilities that support college/university priorities while contributing to a collegial and collaborative academic environment.
Education and Experience Requirements
Required: PharmD degree or licensure as a registered pharmacist
Preferred: Experience teaching in higher education, including both in-person and online modalities
Additional Information
The salary range for this role is $77,000 - $86,000. The offer for this position will be based on internal equity and the candidate's qualifications.
