Senior Lecturer / Course Leader – Foundation

The University of Central Lancashire London, a partner of the University of Lancashire, is an ambitious, teaching-focussed HE provider, primarily aimed at a widening participation audience. Based in London’s East India Docks, the university currently delivers courses related to Business, Computing, Health and Social Care, Public Health, Psychology and Mental Health and Wellbeing.

Continued growth in demand for our student-centred courses has led to the opportunity to expand our exceptional delivery team through the addition of a full-time Senior Lecturer (Course Leader – Foundation)

We are looking for an experienced lecturer with a solid grounding and applicable qualifications to provide course leadership at Foundation level, ensuring the effective design, delivery and assessment in accordance with agreed departmental strategies. Support and maintain high teaching standards, deliver engaging and research‑informed learning, and ensure assessments and feedback support strong student outcomes. To drive curriculum development, support programme quality and compliance, and work collaboratively with staff and partners to enhance the student experience, academic performance and the overall academic provision.

If you are enthusiastic and motivated about supporting students to develop their academic skills, share our belief in the transformational nature of education, and wish to be rewarded for your teaching excellence, then we would like to talk to you about opportunities at the University.

You should be qualified to a minimum of master's degree level in a relevant discipline, with experience of teaching at undergraduate level in Higher Education. A strong grounding in industry will be an advantage, along with experience in teaching and supporting students from diverse backgrounds. You should have demonstrable organisational and personal management skills, with evidence of your ability to balance competing pressures. You should have effective interpersonal and communication skills that facilitate effective team working and teaching.

You must have an existing right to live and work in the United Kingdom without restriction or caveat. All academic staff are required to teach face-to-face on campus.
