Expected skills

Applicants must show a strong interest in teaching as well as a high-level scientific record in accordance with UGA’s ambitions. Context and educational objectives

Educational expectations

The successful candidate must have skills in application development (web, mobile, collaborative, Internet of Things, etc.) to work in this field in the Computer Science BUT within the Computer Science Department of IUT2 in Grenoble. These skills may cover the various phases of software development: analysis of functional and non-functional requirements (usability, maintainability, etc.), design, development, validation and deployment. They must have an appetence and skills for technologies commonly used in the software industry in order to offer students professional situations in which to implement these technologies, both in the context of traditional teaching (resources) and in the context of learning and assessment situations (SAE).

The successful candidate will also have to demonstrate their interest and experience in differentiated teaching practices: project-based learning, learning through play, inverted classroom, etc. They will follow students in their internship or work-study program.

They must demonstrate a broad and cross-disciplinary vision of the teaching provided in the University Bachelor of Technology, an ability to integrate and collaborate actively within the teaching team, particularly with a view to setting up and participating in learning and assessment situations. Knowledge of the professions targeted by the department's training courses is appreciated.

Administrative activities

The successful candidate is expected to have the ability and interest to take on teaching or supervisory responsibilities within the department in the short or medium term (depending on experience). More specifically, the expectations include for instance:

  • Monitoring student progress
  • Managing admissions on ParcourSup
  • Managing internships
  • Managing further education

Research project and scientific impact

The Grenoble Computer Science Laboratory (LIG - UMR 5217 ZRR) is seeking outstanding candidates to strengthen its research and impact in the application context of the Internet of Things and/or collaborative mobile systems. The successful candidate may be involved in one (or more) of the research aspects related to this context, such as the design of methodological, theoretical, or practical tools at different levels of the lifecycle and the software layer for the collaboration and control of objects or mobile systems. Applicants' scientific backgrounds must be in at least one of the following areas:

  • Software Engineering,
  • Systems, Networks
  • Formal Methods,
  • Interactive and Collaborative Systems

The successful candidate will join one of LIG’s teams in one of the following areas: MFML, SRCPR, GLSI, SIC and will propose a research project related to the Internet of Things and/or collaborative mobile systems. They must have a high-level research background and be able to develop international collaborations in the long term.
