They should also have a sense of responsibility, in particular with regard to environmental and social issues.

They will supervise Master's theses on topics such as screenwriting, production, or the history of cinematographic practices and techniques.
Experience in film production and/or technical skills – particularly in sound and/or editing – would be a strong advantage.

Research project and scientific impact
The successful candidate will be affiliated with UMR 5316 Litt&Arts. Within the research axes – including Axis 3, ‘Experiences of Creation’ – they will contribute to the development of new action research projects and/or research on or through creation, and participate in the laboratory's ongoing projects.
They will demonstrate in-depth knowledge of contemporary cinematography, enabling them to explore how cinema contributes to our understanding of the world and its geographical, societal and political transformations.
They should also show a strong interest in the study of creative processes (filming, editing and production issues).
They will be expected to take part in the activities of the MaCI (Maison de la Création et de l'Innovation), particularly within SFR Création, and to develop research and creative projects for the SONIMAGE platform, which includes a cinema, two editing rooms, a sound studio and a film review room.
