Applications are invited for an appointment as Senior Lecturer in Anatomy and Connected Health at University of Galway.

The Senior Lecturer will provide academic leadership in anatomy and deliver high-quality teaching across existing programmes. They will play a key role in curriculum design, assessment development, and scholarly activity in anatomy and/or medical education, supporting students’ academic and professional development.

This post offers an exciting opportunity to lead the foundational science elements of the new Graduate Entry Medicine (GEM) programme at the University of Galway. The role’s initial focus will be developing and leading clinically focused foundational sciences within an innovative, CaseBased Learning curriculum. As a senior member of the GEM leadership team, the postholder will contribute to curriculum development, governance, and planning for the first student intake in September 2027.

Salary: €83,861 to €118,841 (applicable to new entrants effective from January, 2011) This appointment will be made on the Senior Lecturer scale in line with current Government pay policy and in accordance with the terms and conditions of the University’s Remuneration policy.
