We are seeking an experienced and passionate academic to join the College of Medicine and Dentistry as a Senior Lecturer in Clinical Dentistry. Based at the Cairns campus, this role plays a key part in the delivery of high-quality clinical teaching and supervision within JCU’s Dentistry program.
You will contribute to the development and implementation of teaching in Clinical Dentistry, including lectures, tutorials, and hands-on clinical supervision of students providing general dental care to patients. The role also offers the opportunity to engage in collaborative research, curriculum enhancement, and leadership within the program.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering and leading clinical teaching activities across undergraduate and postgraduate programs
- Supervising students in the JCU Dental Clinics
- Contributing to research and scholarly activity
- Engaging with College committees and academic life
- Supporting the University’s commitments to reconciliation and sustainability
What you’ll bring:
- A degree in Dentistry with relevant postgraduate qualifications and experience
- AHPRA registration (or eligibility) as a dental practitioner
- Experience in clinical teaching
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- A collaborative and student-focused approach
