Senior Lecturer in Clinical Psychology

Part-time (0.6 FTE), Continuing position

Salary Academic Level C ($141,247 - $162,872 p.a. pro rata for part-time) + 17% Superannuation and Flexible Working Arrangements

Based at the Bundoora campus, but may be required to work and/or be based at other campuses of the University

About the Role

If you are a registered Clinical Psychologist seeking a part-time academic role where your research, clinical and teaching expertise can make a meaningful and visible impact, this is an opportunity to shape the next generation of psychologists while advancing your own academic career.

RMIT University is inviting applications for a Senior Lecturer in Clinical Psychology within the School of Health and Biomedical Sciences. This position is ideal for an established clinician-researcher who is motivated by teaching excellence, professional influence, and impactful research in Clinical Psychology.

This role offers a balanced academic portfolio, combining research leadership, clinical engagement and teaching excellence in a flexible part-time arrangement.

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

  • A PhD (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline
  • Endorsement as an AHPRA-approved registered clinical supervisor with expertise in clinical psychology.
  • A growing national research profile with high-quality publications
  • Experience attracting research funding and leading projects or teams
  • Demonstrated excellence in teaching at tertiary level
  • Experience supervising Higher Degree by Research (HDR) students
  • The ability to mentor colleagues and lead academic teams
  • Strong communication skills and professional judgement
  • A collaborative and values-driven leadership approach

Please Note: Appointment to this position is subject to passing a Working with Children and National Police Check.
