Senior Lecturer in Clinical Psychology

We’re expanding our Clinical Psychology Doctoral training provision and are excited to invite a new academic to join our dynamic Clinical and Health Psychology Research Team. You’ll be part of a friendly, innovative group at the University of Surrey’s School of Psychology which is an institution known for excellence in applied psychology training and impactful research.

We’re looking for an established researcher with a strong profile in cutting-edge clinical, mental, or physical health psychology, and a proven ability to secure funding that drives real-world change for individuals, families, organisations, or communities. We welcome applicants from Clinical, Health, or Community Psychology—or related mental health fields—whose expertise complements or strengthens our current research areas.

As part of a vibrant department with a strong research culture, you’ll play a key role in postgraduate and doctoral teaching, research supervision, and contributing to the PsychD programme and wider School. Experience in qualitative, quantitative, or mixed-methods research is welcome.

Applicants must hold a doctorate in psychology (or equivalent) and be ready to contribute across research, teaching, and programme administration.
