About the role:
We are seeking an innovative and experienced academic to join our Faculty of Education as a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Educational Psychology. The successful candidate will contribute to the leadership and delivery of our academic programs, bringing a deep understanding of early learning environments to enrich curriculum development, foster student engagement. This role offers the opportunity to engage in impactful teaching, research, and professional activities within a dynamic and supportive academic environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality teaching in areas such as child/adolescent development, inclusive education, classroom climate, and pedagogical foundations across face-to-face, online, and blended modes.
- Convene and design units informed by scholarly and professional expertise.
- Undertake research or scholarly activities aligned with the Faculty’s focus areas. Senior Lecturers will lead research projects, secure funding, and publish in high-impact journals (for ER focused interest)
- Supervise doctoral and research masters students (for Senior consideration).
- Lead or contribute to curriculum and/or research program development.
- Contribute to the development of industry and community partnerships
About you:
This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of educational psychology through innovative teaching and research. To be considered for this role, you will have:
- A doctoral degree (EdD or PhD) in a relevant field (Senior Lecturer) or near completion (Lecturer).
- Teaching or professional qualifications in education or a related area.
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching and curriculum development.
- Strong academic and/or professional writing skills.
- Experience as an Early Childhood, Primary, or Secondary teacher, or extensive engagement with schools through research or professional practice.
- Commitment to excellence, equity, and impact in education.
