As a Senior Lecturer in Periodontics at the Melbourne Dental School, you will have the opportunity to provide academic and clinical leadership in training future dental specialists. You will lead the development, delivery, and coordination of the Doctor of Clinical Dentistry (DCD) Periodontics degree program, ensuring excellence in teaching and clinical practice. Your role will involve curriculum development, student supervision, and fostering collaborative partnerships, all while adhering to the values of collaboration, compassion, respect, integrity, and accountability.
- Lead Academic and Clinical Teaching:Develop and deliver engaging courses, oversee student assessments, and provide clinical supervision in Periodontics.
- Innovate Curriculum Development:Regularly contribute to and lead curriculum design, assessment renewal, and evaluation in consultation with academic staff.
- Foster Collaborative Partnerships:Engage with professional bodies and stakeholders to build partnerships that enhance the School's research and teaching outcomes.
- Demonstrate Leadership and Service:Actively participate in committees, provide academic advice, and engage with industry and University events.
You will have extensive clinical experience in Periodontics, a proven track record in clinical teaching, and the ability to lead innovative curriculum development, fostering strong collaborative networks.
- Have specialist dental qualifications in Periodontics and be registered with AHPRA.
- Possess extensive clinical experience in Periodontics and excellence in clinical teaching.
- Demonstrate high-level communication and interpersonal skills to build collaborative networks.
- Exhibit strong leadership abilities in managing resources and leading teams.
- Be committed to developing innovative educational methods and improving teaching outcomes.
