The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of teaching and research in psychology at the heart of a dynamic psychology department with a reputation in developing successful, research-led programmes.

You will plan, deliver and assess a range of modules across our growing undergraduate and postgraduate BPS accredited programmes. Using a variety of technologies and approaches you will deliver a vibrant education to your students that can be translated into real-world skills and support them in their journey to become critical-thinking professionals. Preference will be shown to applicants who can teach and supervise student research projects in one or more BPS core areas. The ability to teach research methods quantitative and/or qualitative methods would also be advantageous.

You will be at the heart of a dynamic psychology department with a strong reputation for developing successful, research-led programmes and will benefit from membership of one or more of our Departmental Research Groups working with colleagues engaged in internationally excellent research and knowledge exchange activity.

Due to growth in student numbers on our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes we are seeking one full time permanent Senior Lecturer.

The Person

You will hold a PhD in psychology and have a track record of research in psychology through publication, grant awards or knowledge exchange.

On a personal level, going above and beyond to deliver exceptional teaching and support to our students will be your core motivation. You will use your experience of working in Psychology to promote integrated professional practice across everything you do, imparting practical knowledge to students that they will take with them in their future careers.

Constantly seeking to improve, you’ll scrutinise your own work, build private and public sector networks, and work collaboratively to enhance the faculty’s reputation in higher education and occupational circles.

The Faculty

The Faculty of Business and Social Sciences combines Kingston Business School and the School of Law, Social and Behavioural Sciences. Further information

This is a full-time, permanent position with a starting salary of £50,160 per annum.
