The post holder is expected to pursue funding opportunities, contribute to knowledge transfer, develop external partnerships, and engage with professional networks to achieve recognition within the field. Additionally, they will hold a significant leadership or managerial role within the academic discipline or institute and contribute to its daily operations.
Teaching must be academically rigorous and vocationally relevant, using innovative approaches to learning and assessment that support students in developing professional competencies aligned with Social Care Wales standards. The role also involves contributing to a range of operational activities such as student recruitment, marketing initiatives, research events, staff development and training.
Applicants must have up-to-date professional experience as a Social Work practitioner, alongside a commitment to widening participation and inclusivity. Flexibility is required to teach across multiple campuses in South Wales and to engage a diverse student body using adaptable and creative teaching methods.
