- One (1) position (m/f) for a Senior Lecturer, a new teaching position in the scientific area of Biomedicine and Health, scientific field Clinical Medical Sciences, permanently, full-time.
- One (1) position (m/f) for a Lecturer, a new teaching position in the scientific area of Biomedicine and Health, scientific field Clinical Medical Sciences, permanently, full-time.
- One (1) position (m/f) for a Lecturer, a new teaching position in the scientific area of Biomedicine and Health, scientific field Clinical Medical Sciences, permanently, part-time at 20% of full-time employment.

Conditions for appointment to teaching positions
Candidates applying in response to the public call for applications for appointment to a teaching position must meet the requirements prescribed by the Higher Education and Scientific Activity Act (Official Gazette No. 119/2022), the National Criteria for Appointment to a Teaching Position at a Polytechnic (Official Gazette No. 36/2023), and the Statute of the Polytechnic “Nikola Tesla” in Gospić.
Along with the signed application, the candidates must submit:
- a personally signed CV with detailed information on teaching, professional and scientific work and a list of papers in electronic form.
- evidence of meeting the conditions prescribed by the Higher Education and Scientific Activity Act and the Decision on the Conditions for Assessment of Teaching and Professional Activities in the Procedure for Selection to Teaching Positions of the Council of Polytechnics and Colleges of the Republic of Croatia (certificates of public lectures held, classes held and mentoring of final or diploma theses... in electronic form exclusively in PDF format, if they have them);
- proof of work experience (a certificate or printout from the electronic record of data from the field of employment maintained by the Croatian Pension Insurance Institute, not older than the date of publication of this competition);
- the papers that are relevant to the selection for the position (in electronic form only in PDF format);
- a copy of the decision on the selection for the position (if there is a previously completed procedure);
- a copy of the diploma of completed university or professional graduate studies in a scientific area and field
- a decision on the recognition of a foreign educational qualification for those candidates who have acquired the qualification abroad;
- proof of citizenship of the Republic of Croatia or proof of citizenship of another country;
- for candidates who are foreign citizens, proof of knowledge of the Croatian language level C2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

A candidate who, in his application for a public call, invokes the right to priority in employment in accordance with Article 48, item f of the Act on the Protection of Military and Civilian War Invalids (Official Gazette No. 33/92, 57/92, 77/92, 27/93, 58/93, 02/94, 76/94, 108/95, 108/96, 82/01, 103/03, 148/13, 98/19), in addition to the application for the public tender, the applicant must also submit a decision or certificate confirming the stated right, a certificate of unemployment from the Croatian Employment Service issued during the duration of this call for applications, and evidence showing how his employment with his last employer ended (decision, contract, agreement, etc.).
A candidate who, in his application for a public call, claims employment preference in accordance with Article 9 of the Act on Professional Rehabilitation and Employment of Persons with Disabilities, consolidated text of the Act (Official Gazette No. 157/13, 152/14, 39/18, 32/20), is obliged, in addition to evidence of meeting the required conditions, to submit an appropriate public document on disability based on which the person can be entered in the register of employed persons with disabilities, and evidence showing how his employment with the last employer ended (decision, contract, agreement, etc.).
A candidate who, in his application for a public call, requests employment preference in accordance with Article 48 of the Act on Civilian Victims of the Homeland War (Official Gazette, No. 84/21, 13/26), is obliged, in addition to evidence of meeting the required conditions, to submit appropriate evidence of meeting the conditions for exercising the right to employment preference, which are published on the website of the Ministry of Croatian Veterans: https://branitelji.gov.hr/UserDocsImages/dokumenti/Nikola/popis%20dokaza%20za%20ostvarivanje%20prava%20prednostsi%20pri%20zapošljavanju-%20Zakon%20o%20civilnim%20stradalnicima%20iz%20DR.pdf
Pursuant to Article 13, paragraph 1 of the Gender Equality Act (Official Gazette Nos. 82/08 and 69/17), persons of both genders may apply for the position.
Applications for the position and evidence demonstrating fulfilment of the required criteria shall be submitted electronically within 30 days from the date of publication of the vacancy notice in the Official Gazette, to the following email address: tajnik@velegs-nikolatesla.hr, with the subject line “Application for the public call – Lecturer.”
An application shall be considered complete if it contains all the information and attachments specified in this public vacancy notice.
Incomplete and late applications will not be considered, and applicants who submit incomplete applications will not be invited to supplement their applications.
By submitting an application for the public call, candidates expressly consent to the Polytechnic “Nikola Tesla” in Gospić, as the controller of the personal data collection, collecting, using, and further processing their personal data for the purpose of conducting the recruitment procedure, in accordance with the regulations governing the protection of personal data.
The Polytechnic “Nikola Tesla” in Gospić reserves the right to conduct an interview with the selected candidate. If the candidate fails to attend the interview, they will be deemed to have withdrawn their application for the public call.
By publishing the name of the selected candidate on the official website of the Polytechnic, all applicants shall be deemed to have been notified of the outcome of the selection procedure.
