We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position(s) in the School of Science and Technology:
Senior Lecturer / Lecturer (Ref: 26001XU)
Major Duties and Responsibilities
The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following:
- Undertaking course planning, development, coordination and delivery (including classroom and clinical teaching) in related disciplines;
- Participating in programme development and accreditation exercise;
- Performing scholarly activities and increasing the publication output and raising the level of consultancies in related discipline(s);
- Supervising undergraduate and postgraduate research project(s);
- Engaging in student development activities; and
- Participating in School / University activities and administration.
Candidates
Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence:
- A higher degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Electronic Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Software Engineering, Information Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, STEM, or a related discipline;
- Relevant experience in the tertiary education sector, with a strong understanding of student learning needs and academic quality standards;
- Competence in teaching and / or relevant professional experience, including course administration, curriculum design, and student assessment;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to use English effectively as the medium of instruction;
- Professional qualifications and relevant industrial experience in the related discipline are preferred; and
- A responsible, adaptable, and professional work attitude, with a strong commitment to academic excellence and institutional development.
The level of appointment depends on the candidate’s academic background, experience and competence in academic leadership, teaching, research, scholarly publications, etc.
