Applicants must show a strong interest in teaching as well as a high-level scientific record in accordance with UGA’s ambitions. Context and educational objectives:
Educational expectations
The successful candidate will teach mathematics at UFR IM2AG at the bachelor’s and master’s degree levels, which includes the preparation of the agrégation competitive examination, and they will assume administrative responsibilities in the context of teaching and research. They will be involved in the interdisciplinary programs supported by the Research Federation or QuantAlps Labex. The ability to teach in French is required.
Research project and scientific impact:
Scientific profile
The successful candidate will conduct high-level research in mathematical physics, particularly in one of the following areas:
- Analysis of the dynamics and spectral properties of quantum physical systems,
- Many-body problems and quantum statistical mechanics,
- Quantum information and entanglement in multipartite systems,
- General relativity and quantum field theory.
Their work will contribute to the development of interactions between Institut Fourier and theorists from the Grenoble physics laboratories. Solid research experience at the interface between mathematics and physics will be particularly appreciated, especially when thematically aligned with the research activities conducted on site, such as the interdisciplinary QuantAlps programme.
