About the Day Leadership Academy: The Day Leadership Academy focuses on organizational leadership, strategic management, and hospitality business development, providing consulting, upskilling, and training for communities.

Position Description: This is a renewable one-year contract as a full-time lecturer in hospitality and coordinator of the Day Leadership Academy. It includes teaching, advising, service, and administrative responsibilities such as developing marketing and sales strategies, networking, and outreach.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Teach 9 credit hours per semester, with a 6-credit teaching release for administrative duties.
• Coordinate DLA programming, including course development, instructor recruitment, industry outreach, and events.
• Manage a part-time administrative aid.

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate degree in hospitality or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of work experience in hospitality, with at least 2 years in a senior leadership position.
• Experience in creating, marketing, delivering, and/or selling leadership programming.

Preferred Qualifications:

• At least one degree in hospitality management.
• Teaching experience at undergraduate or graduate level.
• Extensive hospitality industry networks and active membership in professional organizations.
• Commitment to mentoring diverse students.

Salary: $75,000 - $85,000 at the Lecturer level.
