- Salary: $147,138 – $169,011 per annum, plus 17% Super and Leave Loading.

The Opportunity
Western Sydney University is seeking a dedicated Senior Lecturer to join the School of Law. This position is Identified for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants under Section 14(D) of the NSW Anti-Discrimination Act 1977.
In this role, you will contribute to the design and delivery of innovative learning activities across undergraduate and postgraduate law programs. You will support student learning and progression through high quality teaching, assessment design, curriculum enhancement and academic quality assurance. You will engage closely with students and contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment.
You will also build and maintain a productive research profile, conducting individual and collaborative research consistent with disciplinary standards. You will contribute to grant applications, scholarly outputs and the supervision of higher degree research students. Your work will strengthen the School of Law’s academic reputation and its connections with industry, legal communities and the broader higher education sector.
What Success Looks Like:
- Deliver effective teaching, learning activities and assessment that supports student achievement.
- Contribute to curriculum development and academic quality assurance within law programs.
- Produce high quality research outputs and participate in competitive funding applications.
- Supervise HDR students and mentor colleagues to foster academic development.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including the legal profession and community partners.

About You
- You identify as an Aboriginal and or Torres Strait Islander person.
- A PhD in a relevant area of law and a demonstrated research track record relative to opportunity.
- Experience designing and delivering learning and teaching in undergraduate and or postgraduate programs.
- Commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion, and supporting students from diverse backgrounds.
- Experience engaging with industry, the legal profession and academic colleagues.
