Part Time Fixed term (0.2 FTE) until May 2030 for a dedicated Senior Lecturer in Haematology (Teaching and Research)
contribute to teaching, research and clinical engagement within the Northern Clinical School
Base Salary $156,103 (Pro Rata) + 17% superannuation
About the opportunity
The Faculty of Medicine and Health is seeking to appoint a Senior Lecturer in Haematology to contribute to teaching, research and clinical engagement within a Clinical School. This role offers an exciting opportunity for an established academic clinician to deliver high-quality education, contribute to curriculum development and research excellence, and maintain strong clinical partnerships within the Northern NSLHD while supporting the school’s academic leadership. Full clinical loading - pro-rata will apply for eligible candidate.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- work closely with clinical school leadership, academic staff and health service partners
- lead and coordinate high-quality teaching and learning in haematology
- contribute to curriculum development, innovation and program improvement
- coordinate academic staff activities and provide mentoring to junior colleagues
- supervise higher degree research students and contribute to research training
- maintain an active clinical role aligned with NSLHD and contribute to research
About you
- PhD or equivalent in a relevant discipline
- specialist expertise in haematology with FRACP and current AHPRA registration
- clinical appointment as a haematologist within NSLHD
- demonstrated experience in teaching leadership within a clinical school
- strong track record in research and scholarly activity
- experience coordinating staff activities and mentoring colleagues.
