James Cook University is seeking a passionate Senior Lecturer to contribute to the delivery, evaluation, and continuous improvement of the Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) program. This is a unique opportunity to combine teaching, research, and impact—driving evidence-based improvements in medical education and graduate outcomes.

About the role

This is a dynamic teaching and research position with a strong focus on evaluation, impact, and research methodology. You will lead and support program-wide evaluation activities, analyse complex data, and translate insights into meaningful improvements for students, staff, and stakeholders.

You’ll contribute to teaching across the MBBS program (primarily Years 1–3), support postgraduate coursework, and supervise Honours and Higher Degree Research candidates—while building a strong research profile in medical education and rural health.
