Do you enjoy working with young people, are you curious, and do you want to pass on your knowledge?  As a Senior Lecturer, you play a crucial role in educating students. In addition to providing a solid academic education, we also place a special emphasis on the personal development of students. We support students in developing curiosity and critical thinking, thereby creating a solid foundation for the professional challenges of the next generation.

Your workplace:

The Senior Lecturer position is responsible in particular for teaching in the field of clinical and healthpsychology in the Bachelor's and Master's degree programs at the Faculty of Psychology. You will be responsible for academic teaching for an average of 7 semester hours per week and design lectures, Seminars, and other teaching Formats (particularly practice-oriented courses) across all educational phases. In addition, the Senior Lecturer may be expectedto (co-)supervise Bachelor's and Master's theses. Taking on administrative tasks (especially in theadministration of teaching) is part of the job. The ongoing reception of the current state of science and theassumption of research activities are expected. Continuous didactic training, especially in the area of e-learning, is also expected.

Your future tasks:

You actively participate in scientific teaching, research & administration, which means:

  • You hold courses independently in the Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programs within the scope of the provisions of the collective bargaining agreement. That means an average of 7 semester hours per week for part-time employment, which are to be taught predominantly in German.
  • You will take on administrative tasks, especially in the administration of teaching.
  • We expect from you the ongoing reception of the current state of science as well as the didactic further training.

What we expect:

  • Completed PhD studies in Psychology
  • Several years of independent teaching at a post-secondary educational institution
  • Didactic competencies (proof e.g. by teaching evaluations, teaching awards)
  • Experience in clinical and health psychology research and teaching (preferably with a focus on knowledge related to competencies in theory- and evidence-based practice within Clinical Psychology and Health Psychology)
  • Experience in teaching research skills
  • Experience in e-learning (e.g. webinars, Moodle), as well as digital & hybrid teaching
  • (Ongoing or completed) further training as a Clinical Psychologist or Psychotherapist (in an evidence-based practice)
  • Proficiency in German sufficient for teaching in the German language
  • Social competencies
