Applicants must show a strong interest in teaching as well as a high-level scientific record in accordance with UGA’s ambitions. Context and educational objectives
Educational expectations
- The successful candidate will have a good knowledge of occupational and organizational psychology and ergonomic psychology (theoretical models, assessment, prevention, promotion, intervention).
- The successful candidate will deliver theoretical, methodological and practical teaching, primarily in initial training for the Bachelor's degree in Psychology and the Master's degree in Psychology, specializing in "Occupational Psychology and Ergonomics: Change, Safety and Resource Mobilization". They will also be required to teach continuing education courses in the Inter-University Diploma program "Supporting Change in Organizations with an Occupational Psychology Approach", as well as in the Professional Bachelor's degree program "HRM Professions: Training, Skills and Employment, Health, Prevention and Quality of Life at Work".
- Skills in teaching courses already included in the curriculum would be appreciated, but are not mandatory (introduction to occupational psychology; occupational safety and risk psychology; quantitative and qualitative data processing methodology; skills assessment; etc.).
- The successful candidate will also supervise study and research projects (TER) in the third year of the Bachelor's degree in Psychology, as well as in the first and second years of the Master's degree in Occupational Psychology and Ergonomics.
- One or more professional experiences in organizational intervention would be appreciated.
- The application file should specify a plan for integrating the course into the program.
Research project and scientific impact
Scientific profile
- The successful candidate will join the "Risks and Adaptation to Change" (RAC) axis of the LIP/PC2S laboratory. The RAC axis focuses primarily on the study of socio-cognitive and emotional processes involved in risk prevention and adaptation to change.
- The successful candidate will strengthen the team by working on any innovative research topic within the field of occupational and organizational psychology or ergonomic psychology, considering the risks and resources associated with transformations and innovations in the workplace to improve the quality of life and working conditions of employees.
- A special attention will be paid to theoretical openness and multi-methodological competence, including mastery of quantitative and qualitative data analysis.
- The ability to collaborate with civil society actors will be considered an asset.
- The successful candidate must have experience (as first author) of publishing in media with a wide international audience. They must have at least one publication in a leading psychology journal or generalist journal on a topic relevant to the discipline. Particular attention will be paid to the consistency of publications with the speciality targeted by the recruitment.
- Research experience outside the thesis laboratory — during the PhD, post-doctorate or activity in another structure — conducted with teams other than those involved in the thesis will be considered an asset.
- The successful candidate should also demonstrate involvement in international networks (i.e., international collaborations, membership of major associations in the discipline) to contribute to the internationalisation and excellence of research.
- In the long term, the successful candidate may (co-)supervise doctoral theses.
- A good knowledge of and willingness to implement open science practices (e.g. pre-registration, data sharing, etc.) are expected. The adoption of these practices (where the type of research allows) will also be highly appreciated.
- The application file should include a project outlining the candidate’s planned scientific integration within the axis.
