The role
This is an exciting opportunity for a library professional or someone seeking to start a career within the library sector, to work with the Cambridge West Team, supporting library services, contributing to the needs of a diverse academic community within an innovative and forward-looking setting.
As Senior Library Assistant you will
- Assist with the administrative and promotional support of the library ensuring a welcoming environment.
- Develop physical and electronic resources including guides, documentation and promotional posters for the library and online media.
- Provide support to library users at the West Hub and across the site.
- Presenting teaching sessions and one-to-ones to users.

- Enthusiastic about delivering informational skills and inductions.
- Flexible to work at and visit multiple work locations.
What we offer
- Flexible working arrangements are available for the 21.9 weekly hours, allowing pre-agreed working arrangement spread over a minimum of three days and up to five days. Mondays and Fridays are key working days for the operational needs of the library.
