Job Description:
GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Cape Cod Community College's Center for Community and Professional
Education (CCAPE) is seeking a dynamic, community-minded leader to
serve as Senior Manager of Career and Technical Education. This is
a unique opportunity to expand access to career and technical
training across the region ? building the pathways that help
individuals gain credentials, change careers, and step into
in-demand jobs, while strengthening the community partnerships that
make that access possible. If you are passionate about connecting

In this role, the Senior Manager of Career and Technical Education
will lead the development, implementation, and management of
CCAPE's open enrollment training portfolio ? from short-term
credentialing to stackable, grant-funded programming ? in close
partnership with community organizations, libraries, senior
centers, and regional workforce partners. The Senior Manager will
work hand-in-hand with the Senior Manager of Employer Engagement
and Workforce Partnerships and the Director/Chief Workforce
Development Officer to ensure CCAPE's programming reflects both
industry demand and community need, and requires strong judgment,
initiative, and a collaborative approach to carry out
responsibilities effectively.
This position is ideal for a relationship-driven professional who

doors for learners, and navigating the intersection of higher
education, workforce development, and community impact.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:
- Develop and manage CCAPE's Career and Technical Education open
enrollment portfolio, including but not limited to: short- to
long-term training, professional development, credentialing and
digital badges, Credit for Prior Learning based projects, stackable
credentials, bridging to credit bearing certificates and programs,
grant-funded programming, career training programs, contract open
enrollment programs, and other programs/projects as assigned.
Cultivate and expand open enrollment training initiatives with
community partners (including libraries, senior centers, nonprofit
and community-based organizations, and municipal partners) to
broaden public access to CCAPE programming across the region.
Develop and maintain a CCAPE instructor talent bench in
adherence with College policies and procedures that provides
staffing for a wide range of course topics and programs via various
modalities, such as virtual, hybrid, HyFlex, and in-person.
Compile and maintain comprehensive information regarding
instructors, clients, students, funders, and program partners.
Collaborate with the Senior Manager of Employer Engagement and
Workforce Partnerships to conduct assessments to evaluate labor
market information and analyze workforce trends to ensure the
Career and Technical Education program open enrollment portfolio
and Employer Contract Training portfolio meets market demand and
specific market and partner needs, and to collaborate on special
partnerships and projects that benefit both areas.
Work collaboratively with the Senior Manager of Employer
Engagement and Workforce Partnerships to coordinate and share
program coordinator staff supporting both areas, ensuring
coordinators can be flexibly reallocated between teams during
periods of high demand so that both Career and Technical Education
and Employer Engagement/Workforce Partnerships programming remain
adequately staffed and supported.
Oversee CCAPE open enrollment student/participant management,
including but not limited to registration, attendance monitoring,
reporting, and participant and program progress and outcomes.
Facilitate the development of articulation agreements with the
academic programs, in collaboration with the Assistant Director and
Director/Chief Workforce Development Officer.
Collaborate and manage outreach to external partners and
community, including but not limited to, industry/private sector
businesses, economic development and workforce organizations, and
educational institutions.
Review and update the existing Career and Technical Education
open enrollment portfolio and utilize formative and summative
evaluations for constant review of course materials and instructor
quality.
Identify and develop grant and funding proposals in partnership
with the Director/Chief Workforce Development Officer and Director
of Grants Administration.
Coordinate and partner with CCAPE's Employer Training team to
explore partnership programs between existing corporate curriculum
and corporate instructors.
Manage, process, and access open enrollment reports
(enrollment, revenue, contact hours) for the College as requested,
and annually/semiannually/quarterly reports (or as requested) for
the Department of Higher Education and other partners/funders as
requested. Manage CCAPE's open enrollment grant reporting
requirements and compliance.
Generate program revenue through open enrollment portfolio to
meet or exceed 50% of CCAPE's revenue goal set forth each
year.
Focus on customer service best practices when working with Cape
Cod Community College members, including faculty, staff, and
students.
Promote a positive and inclusive work environment that supports
the professional growth of staff while fostering a commitment to
service excellence.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
- Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and
experience.
- Three years of related experience which may include development
of training programs and management of training schedules or
instructors.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a flexible, hybrid
team environment, including comfort with virtual collaboration and
communication tools (e.g., Zoom, MS Teams), and the flexibility to
support colleagues across team schedules as program needs
require.
- Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage work
priorities and assignments in a fast-paced, deadline driven
environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a team and perform duties with
minimal direction, including effective problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated experience with labor market and business
assessments to shape curriculum and trainings.
- Demonstrated ability to deal effectively with external
organizations, businesses, and the public, and work effectively
with the campus community.
- Demonstrated understanding of underserved, vulnerable, and
minority populations such as migrant and immigrant populations in
the Cape and Islands region.
- Strong proficiency in MS Office applications, e.g., database
maintenance, spreadsheet applications, and graphics. Must be an
advanced user of the Microsoft Office suite: Word, Excel, Outlook,
etc.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal, and presentation
skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative team model,
including partnering effectively with peer managers to coordinate
and share staff resources across program areas as needs arise.
- Reliable transportation to travel to and from meetings,
trainings, or campus and community locations as required.
- Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States
ADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's degree.
- Bachelor's degree in a field related to education, business,
and/or management.
- Three years of experience in the development of career and
technical trainings, professional development and special training
programs, management of multiple diverse training schedules, and/or
management of multiple part-time instructors with diverse
portfolios.
- Demonstrated experience with the development of training
programs in partnership with business leaders in private, public,
and nonprofit organizations.
- Demonstrated experience developing future projected career
pathways, with a focus on underserved populations.
- Demonstrated experience working in higher education, with a
preference for community college experience.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Jenzabar, Salesforce and
CourseStorm, as well as various Customer Relations Management (CRM)
platforms and project management platforms, such as Trello.
- Demonstrated knowledge and consistent experience in using
varied social media outlets on behalf of a business or
organization.
- Robust understanding and demonstrated inclusion of access,
equity, and student success practices.
- Ability to speak a language in addition to English.

Additional Information:
COMPENSATION : Annual Salary Range of $82,000 - $87,000,
dependent upon qualifications and experience. Full-time, Non-unit
Professional Position that includes participation in a
comprehensive employee benefits program and the option for
membership in the Massachusetts State Employees' Retirement
System.
